Refernet supports CEDEFOP activities related to selection of information and documentation for developments and research in VET systems in EU.

During the period 2003-2006 the HRDC has been involved in preliminary activities for implementation of Refernet actions in Bulgaria due to support received by the European Training Foundation.

Starting in 2008, the HRDC acts as a National Refernet coordinator and works in close cooperation with CEDEFOP, National coordinators of the network from Member States and representatives of relevant institutions in Bulgaria.

Functions of the Net

ReferNet is a transeuropean network for collection and dissemination of information on developments of vocational education and traiing and learning systems in European Union.

Refernet gives a platform for exchange of experience in VET area The network has been created due to growing demand for comparison of policy developments in Member States.

Through Refernet activities and outcomes has been made effective and efficient informational exchange among stakeholders in VET area in EC on the topics of common interest.
